WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T has reiterated the length of his WWE contract and says he won’t be retired from the ring until he’s “six feet under.”
Booker T made his name in WCW, initially as part of the Harlem Heat tag team with his brother Stevie Ray with the duo winning the WCW Tag Team Championship an incredible ten times. Following the split of the team, Booker achieved a great deal of solo success winning the WCW World Championship five times, with the last of those reigns coming in WWE.
During his time in WWE, Booker T also captured the World Heavyweight Championship after morphing into King Booker after winning the 2006 King Of The Ring tournament. Booker was inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame in 2013 for his solo exploits before being inducted as part of Harlem Heat in 2019.
Speaking to Culture Map in Houston, Booker T discussed his WWE contract having years left on it and says he’s never going to hang up his boots for good:
“My relationship with the company has never been better. My contract with them isn’t up for another several years. I’m still around doing the kickoff shows for all the premium events on Peacock. I sometimes host RAW Talk and Talking Smack and WWE has me involved with several other projects.”
“I’ll never be done wrestling. I’ll be doing this until I can’t move my legs anymore. Wrestlers never retire. If I get a chance to bounce around the ring like a kid one more time, I’ll take that opportunity every time. I won’t be retired from the squared circle until I’m six feet under.”
Booker T recently discussed which current WWE Superstar he thinks could be the next John Cena.
