WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T has high hopes for one faction in WWE, saying that they could become “one of the most popular” in the history of the company.
Five-time WCW Champion was speaking on his Hall Of Fame podcast when he lavished praise on SmackDown newcomers Hit Row. The group was recently drafted from NXT 2.0 to the blue brand in the WWE Draft and Booker T thinks Hit Row could be WWE’s next big hit:
“I watch their act, when they come out they believe in what they’re doing. And then their music, their music is hot. Top Dolla is really no joke as far as the music goes and he’s an athlete – and the world is going to see that group do something really, really special. That kid Swerve, there again, I didn’t how good this kid was until he was part of the group where he was able to shine and that is the Hit Row… Give them the ball and let them run. You talk about a faction that can go down, as far as this generation, the millennials, and what they really, really like, these guys can go down as one of the most popular groups ever formed if done right.”
Hit Row is comprised of Ashante ‘Thee’ Adonis, Top Dolla, B-Fab, and the current NXT North American Champion Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott. Scott defeated Bronson Reed for that title on the 29th of June edition of NXT. Swerve is yet to defend the championship but has accepted a challenge from Legado del Fantasma’s Santos Escobar and will defend the NXT North American Title for the first time against the former NXT Cruiserweight Champion on the October 12th edition of NXT 2.0. Hit Row will officially make their move to the WWE main roster when the WWE Draft picks take effect on October 22nd.
