Booker T has high praise for this new champion in WWE NXT.

At Vengeance Day on February 15th, Stephane Vaquer made history when she defeated Fallon Henley for the NXT Women’s North American Championship. Speaking on the latest edition of his Hall of Fame podcast, NXT broadcaster and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T spoke about Vaquer becoming the third woman to hold the prestigious title, saying she’s deserving of the accolade.

“I think she deserves it. I mean, she really does. She’s a workhorse. She’s goes out and has really good matches as well as, you know, she’s been champion around the world, this is just another mark for her that she’s trying to put on her belt so she could get to that next level as well.”

Booker T Praises The WWE NXT Women’s Roster

Continuing, the WWE Hall of Famer spoke about the strength of NXT’s current female roster and the need to let multiple stars shine.

“We’ve talked about how strong the female roster is. Stephanie Vaquer, Zaria, girls like that, they definitely make that division so much stronger and when you got somebody like Roxanne Perez that has put so much work in, let somebody else get a little piece of the pie, let somebody else shine. That’s what it’s all about, man.”

Elsewhere on Vengeance Day, Santino Marella made a guest appearance alongside his daughter Arianna Grace. Fraxiom, Oba Femi, and Giulia all successfully defended their titles on the show.

Stephanie Vaquer signed with WWE in July of 2024 after suddenly departing both CMLL and NJPW.
