Hall of Famer Booker T gave a blunt statement regarding a potential return to the promotion for a former WWE star.
Although released for bad public behavior, the JFK airport incident was seemingly only the tip of the iceberg. However, Matt Riddle did manage to garner a decent reputation in the independent circuit. He is currently the reigning MLW World Heavyweight Champion. But all of the goodwill he may have acquired in the last two years is again being shed, as he is making headlines for all the wrong reasons yet again.
Not long ago, The Original Bro expressed a desire to complete his RK-Bro story in WWE, claiming that even Randy Orton shared his sentiments. The 14-time World Champion in the Stamford-based promotion is one of Riddle’s advocates.
Orton has admitted to owing Riddle big as the now MLW Heavyweight Champion carried the bulk of the heavy lifting in the ring during the time he was in pain, owing to his back injury, before ultimately taking time off since May 2022 to undergo surgery.
Booker T Does Not See Matt Riddle Back In WWE, Says The Original Bro Has “Blown Up The Bridge”
On The Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T expressed doubts over Matt Riddle’s potential involvement with the sports entertainment capital in the future.
Booker was not a fan of the MLW World Heavyweight Champion, stating that Riddle’s career had already peaked, and that was that.
I do believe that Matt Riddle is going to be one of those guys that never ever make it to the top–that high–ever again. Just because–the guy just–I don’t know. […] It’s one thing–burning bridges, but when you just blow up the d**n bridge, oof. That’s a different story,” Booker T said.
