WWE has seen a dramatic shift in its roster in recent years with the return of Roman Reigns and his alignment with Paul Heyman. The team has been on a destructive path for over two years and has brought more members of The Bloodline into the fold. The most recent addition was Solo Sikoa, Reigns’ real-life cousin, and The Usos, Sikoa’s twin brothers, have been part of the stable for some time now.
Booker T recently spoke about the possibility of Jacob Fatu joining the WWE roster. Fatu is another member of the legendary Anoa’i family – he is the son of Sam Fatu, who wrestled as The Tonga Kid and Tama in WWE and as The Samoan Savage in WCW. Fatu was trained by his uncle, Rikishi, who happens to be The Usos’ father.
Fatu is currently tearing it up in MLW and has not yet ventured to WWE. He has been with the company since 2019 and has made a name for himself as one of the top stars on the roster. He is a former one-time MLW World Heavyweight Champion and his reign as champion was the longest in the promotion’s history.
Booker T Claims Jacob Fatu Could Star Alongside Roman Reigns
On his Hall of Fame podcast, the five-time World Champion said he believes that Fatu could make a big impression on the WWE main roster if they were to hire time. Booker T said:
“I’d love to see Jacob get a chance, get a shot at the big time because I know he’ll make a huge huge impression, a big splash. And not just because he’s a big guy. He’d make a big splash in WWE, seriously.”
Fatu has been active on social media, and has acknowledged the support of his family and the Anoa’i family as a whole. He recently spoke about his upcoming match against MLW Heavyweight Champion Alexander Hammerstone at MLW SuperFight. He expressed his excitement for the match and said that the support from his family has been nothing but motivation.
If the Anoa’i family representative were to join WWE, it could help ensure that the family’s name remains prominent in the wrestling world for years to come.
