Booker T has commented on the link to Chasyn Rance after a photo of the 2 together became the subject of controversy.
A photo of the NXT announcer and Rance recently surfaced on social media that sees both men in a ring with others who have had their identity obscured.
Rance has been registered with the Florida Sex Offender Registry for over a decade stemming from a 2011 incident where he was convicted of Lewd or Lascivious Battery of a victim aged between 12 and 15.
Given Rance’s prior conviction, the photo with the Hall of Famer has sparked backlash among many fans and was also brought up by DJ Vlad as part of his issues with Booker T. Following AEW star Swerve Strickland conducting an interview with Vlad where Booker T’s name was brought up, the Hall of Famer responded to comments made by Swerve Strickland and spoke about his own experiences with DJ Vlad, prompting the aforementioned response along with screenshots of a previous conversation.
Booker T Addresses Chasyn Rance Photo
In a statement issued on social media, Booker T said the following about the photo:
I’ve been a guest trainer at hundreds of wrestling schools over the years, helping to teach and mentor up-and-coming talent. I don’t conduct background checks on every trainer or individual I’ve crossed paths with or taken photos with along the way.
This feels like a clear attempt to falsely associate me with something I have 100% nothing to do with and absolutely no knowledge of!
Any student who’s trained with me can vouch for the kind of coach, mentor, and person I am. My record speaks for itself.
On April 2nd, Rance was arrested for violating his sex offender registration. Per the Orange County Corrections Department, Rance failed to report a change in vehicle ownership, provided false registration information and failed to report internet ID, webpage or app name.
