Booker T Predicts NXT Star Will Take The Wrestling World By Storm: “He’s Gonna Have A Hall Of Fame Career”

Booker T Predicts NXT Star Will Take The Wrestling World By Storm:

Booker T is all in on a top NXT star who he believes is set to take the wrestling world by storm.

NXT kicked off the new era in a big way with the New Year’s Evil special. On top of The Rock making his first-ever appearance on NXT, the show was bookended with major title changes. Beginning with Giulia defeating Roxanne Perez to become the new Women’s Champion, Oba Femi defeated Trick Williams and Eddy Thorpe later in the night to capture the NXT Championship for the first time in his career.

With Femi previously having a record-breaking reign as North American Champion and already establishing himself as the top star on NXT, fans are expecting big things when the inevitable main roster call-up takes place.

Discussing the new NXT Champion on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T predicted more of the same for Femi and also praised the work of the NIL program:

“Oba, he’s done so much so soon in his career. He seems like one of those guys that’s gonna have one of those Hall of Fame careers, and it seems like he’s gonna do it in about ten years [laughs], I’m serious.”

“It’s something about these NIL guys, they pick it up so quick. They’re coming in, and they’re learning television. They’re learning how to go out and perform. Then they bring in such a realism to the game at the same time. Big ups to this NIL program and Triple H and how they put this thing together. I swear it’s paying dividends. It’s working, and a guy like Femi, definitely I think is going to take this business by storm.”

Booker T Considering One More Match

The 6-time World Champion recently made his return to the ring against Zilla Fatu as part of his Reality of Wrestling promotion. Emerging the victor, the NXT announcer has teased that he still has one more match in him. Also on his podcast, Booker T discussed the possibility of facing a former NXT Champion.

Also on his podcast, Booker T gave high praise to another member of the NXT roster.

In other news, Jim Ross gave his thoughts on Penta’s WWE debut.
