Booker T Offers WWE ID Contract To New Signing

Following Reality of Wrestling’s Super Sunday event, WWE’s new Independent Development (ID) program has added a rising star to its roster—Ice Williams.

WWE Hall of Famer Booker T personally offered Williams a contract, marking him as the latest talent to join the developmental initiative. The WWE ID program, aimed at nurturing emerging talent from the independent circuit, has already brought in notable names such as Zayda Steel, Bryce Donovan, Jack Cartwheel, and Zara Zakher. Earlier in the week, WWE hinted at a major signing announcement to take place during Super Sunday, creating anticipation among fans and insiders alike.

During the event, Booker T, a six-time world champion and WWE Hall of Famer, made the official announcement. Taking the stage, he revealed that Ice Williams would be joining the ID program, handing him a WWE contract in front of a lively crowd. The announcement was met with cheers, signalling high expectations for Williams’ future in WWE.

Ice Williams is no stranger to the ring, having competed at notable promotions such as Future Stars of Wrestling, West Coast Pro Wrestling, and Booker’s own Reality of Wrestling. He has also made appearances on ROH TV on Honor Club and AEW Dark, giving him a wealth of experience before stepping into WWE’s developmental ranks.

What Does Booker T Think About WWE’s New ID Program?

Booker T gave his opinion on WWE’s new ID program and said that he thinks it is a great idea because independent wrestlers today don’t have many veteran wrestlers backstage at shows who can give them good advice on how to further their careers, and for the wrestlers who want to become WWE Superstars it is a great program. However, he doesn’t think it is suitable for all independent wrestlers such as those who don’t have aspirations of becoming famous wrestlers.

On a new episode of his podcast, Booker T called for an AEW star to join AEW.
