WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has stated that NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez is already worthy of Hall of Fame status, despite her young career.
The comments came during the latest episode of the “Hall of Fame” podcast, where Booker T discussed the upcoming title match between Perez and newcomer Giulia on the October 1st edition of WWE NXT. Booker expressed his admiration for Perez’s rapid ascent in the wrestling world, stating:
No one expected Roxanne Perez through the ashes and be the one. No one saw that rose rising up through the concrete and blossoming right there in the middle of I-45.
He went on to list her impressive accomplishments, including being ROH‘s first women’s champion, NXT Breakout tournament winner, Iron Survivor, and two-time NXT Women’s Champion. The wrestling legend didn’t hold back in his praise, boldly claiming:
She’s got a Hall of Fame career already. If she retired today, she’d be going into the Hall of Fame.
Regarding Perez’s upcoming match with Giulia, Booker T noted:
We know how good Roxanne Perez is, her confidence right now is through the roof. She’s as good as I’ve ever seen her perform right now and that’s what’s scary. I know she’s got so much more learning to do. I know her in-ring IQ is only gonna go up from her, her in-ring [ability] is only just gonna get better from this perspective.
While Booker T acknowledged his limited knowledge of Giulia, he expressed excitement about the match, saying:
We’re gonna find out a whole a lot about Giulia, if she can really go and really hang with The Prodigy.

Booker T compared WWE NXT star, Oba Femi, to WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg. Booker said that due to Femi’s impressive size and athleticism, he sees a similarity between him and Goldberg, Booker also said that he believes Femi is getting more opportunities to hone his in-ring craft than Goldberg had early in his career.
