Booker T has praised a WWE star following their WrestleMania triumph.
WrestleMania 41 was memorable for many stars on the roster as multiple titles changed hands over the course of the weekend. However, when it came to the most newsworthy result of the show, John Cena defeated Cody Rhodes in the main event of night 2 to win his 17th World Championship.
As a result of the victory, Cena is now recognised by WWE as the most decorated wrestler in company history. Acknowledging Cena’s accolade on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T addressed the record being broken:
“Congratulations to John Cena. Couldn’t be a better dude to have that spot, to have that position as the GOAT, 17 time World Heavyweight Champion.”
“We’ve talked about Ric Flair having that spot for so, so many years, and fitting for Ric Flair to have that spot because I think we’re always going to look at Ric Flair as the somewhat Godfather of this business, but to be able to break that record, which I’m sure somebody’s going to come along and break John Cena’s record one day. It’s pretty cool.”
Did Booker T Fall Asleep At The Hall Of Fame?
Prior to WrestleMania, the 2025 Hall of Fame ceremony took place on April 18th. The show started at 10 pm local time and went on into the early hours of the morning. With the cameras cutting to the audience throughout the night, some stars appeared to be falling asleep, including the NXT announcer. Aware of the comments from the fans, Booker T set the record straight on whether he fell asleep during the Hall of Fame.
