Booker T Calls For WWE To “Put A Rocket” On Current SmackDown Star

Booker T has called on WWE to fully get behind LA Knight and push him into the main event picture.

Knight’s popularity has exploded in recent months with fans up in arms on social media when he didn’t feature on the main card of WrestleMania 39. Since April, the former IMPACT star’s popularity has continued to rise with many now tipping him to win the men’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match.

Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T has added his name to the growing list of people calling on WWE to finally “pull the trigger” on the star. The former World Champion said Knight’s a rare talent, and it’s time WWE stopped messing around with him.

“Put the rocket on him, man. I mean, quit messing around. Put the title on him [laughs]. That’s my thing, man. When you got a guy like him, he’s rare, he’s very rare. He’s organic, he’s figured it out on his own. When you got guys like that, you got to put ‘em in the game. That’s just me. That’s the school I come from. So yeah, watching that dude do his stuff right now, it’s been awesome,”

Booker went on to praise Knight for making something out of the very little that WWE has given him since being on the main roster.

“I watched that dude sit and get a little bit of nothing, and go out there and sprinkle some salt and pepper on it, and some Cholula in it. It feels good. You want to get behind him. He hasn’t been the chosen one or anything like that. Another thing that I say all the time, you gotta win by attrition. You gotta wait until everybody else drop off, and when you walk through that curtain, it’s some heat, and something going on. They gonna know it. It’s inevitable. So I’m just glad to see him getting his flowers,”

Booker T Tips Top Star To Leave WWE

While Booker T believes that LA Knight could go on to become a main event star for WWE, he feels that one of the company’s already established stars could be heading towards the exit.

During a different episode of his podcast, the veteran said that Charlotte Flair is the best female wrestler in the world, but will likely move on to even bigger and better things within five years.
