Booker T Believes Randy Orton’s Future Opponent Is “Truly Next Level”

The WWE Star Booker T Wants To See Become A Women's Champion Very Soon

Booker T thinks this WWE NXT star is going to be “truly, truly great.”

The October 1st episode of NXT marked the show’s debut on the CW Network, and WWE sent many of its main roster stars to help usher in the new era. CM Punk served as the special guest referee for the main event bout between Trick Williams and Ethan Page that saw Williams become a two-time NXT Champion, and Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair also appeared on the show.

More main roster presence is set for the October 8th episode of NXT, which will feature Randy Orton taking on rising star Je’Von Evans in Orton’s hometown of St. Louis, MO. Despite being in NXT for less than a year, Evans has consistently impressed in the ring, and facing The Viper will be his biggest challenge to date.

“He Is Going To Be Truly, Truly Great” – Booker T On Je’Von Evans

Speaking in a recent edition of his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T was asked if Evans would have an opportunity to learn more from facing Orton than he had during the rest of his time in NXT. Booker T made it clear that facing Orton is a massive test, but that he believes Evans will pass with flying colors.

“Yeah, by far. No doubt. This is one of those moments where you’re chosen, and I’ve been in that same situation and that same seat once upon a time. Ric Flair wanted to test me, Ricky Steamboat wanted to test me, ‘The Macho Man’ [Randy] Savage wanted to test me, Bret Hart wanted to test me because they see something in this kid.

That’s Je’Von Evans. This kid is extraordinary talent. He truly is next level. Just give him time, more than anything. Give him that time to mature into the man that he is gonna become, and he is going to be truly, truly great one day. The stuff that he does in the ring, I’ve seen no one else go out and pull it off as flawlessly as this young kid can.”
