Bobby Lashley

The WWE Championship match at Day One will now be a fatal four way match after Bobby Lashley was successful in defeating Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, and Big E on Monday Night Raw.

The December 13th edition of Monday Night Raw opened with MVP and Bobby Lashley demanding that Bobby Lashley be added to the triple threat match at the Day One pay per view on January 1st based on Lashley’s many accomplishments.

MVP said that people like Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins are constantly complaining, but Bobby Lashley doesn’t complain and instead made a statement last week not just to the men involved in the title match, but also to WWE officials Adam Pearce and Sonya DeVille.

Adam Pearce and Sonya DeVille declared that they’d add Lashley to the title match if he was able to defeat Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, and Big E on the same episode of Raw.

Lashley first faced Kevin Owens, who tapped out before the Hurt Lock was even properly locked in. Owens claimed in a later backstage segment with Seth Rollins that he was simply protecting himself, wanting to avoid injury ahead of the pay per view match at Day One. He seemed unconcerned and confident that they could thwart

The match between Bobby Lashley and Seth Rollins later in the night ended in disqualification when Kevin Owens attacked Rollins, causing Rollins to win by disqualification. However, Sonya DeVille and Adam Pearce decided to restart the match and add a No Disqualification stipulation to the rest of Lashley’s contests for the evening.

Lashley was able to pin Rollins with a spear shortly after the match restarted.

The main event of Raw saw Bobby Lashley take on Big E in a No DQ match, and despite Big E telling Rollins and Owens to stay out of the match, both men interfered throughout. MVP also got involved, hitting a low blow on Big E. In the end, Lashley was able to pin the WWE Champion and secure his place in a fatal four way match at Day One.

Kevin Owens was not an original participant in the title match at the pay per view but got himself added to the match on the November 30th episode of Monday Night Raw.
