Bobby Lashley Responds To KSI’s WrestleMania 39 Challenge

Bobby Lashley screaming

With night one of WrestleMania 39 in the history books, there has still been no appearance from former two time WWE Champion ‘The All-Mighty’ Bobby Lashley. Original plans had seen the enormous Superstar due to meet Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 39, but the match was seemingly shelved at short notice with no on-screen explanation given. Reports have suggested that Wyatt is currently battling an undisclosed illness which has seen the much anticipated bout put on ice for now.

Lashley instead found himself competing in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the 31st March episode of WWE SmackDown, a contest that saw him claim victory when he last eliminated Bronson Reed to add his name to the trophy.

A fired up Lashley remains without a match for night 2 of WrestleMania and he issued a passionate challenge after sealing victory in the battle royal on Friday night. That challenge may have been answered by an extremely surprising source.

Bobby Lashley reacts to KSI’s WrestleMania 39 comments

London-born YouTuber KSI has made a huge name for himself in recent years, originally via his YouTube channel before branching out into boxing. His string of commercially successful bouts have included two points victories over Logan Paul, with whom he has promoted the hugely popular energy drink Prime.

KSI made a shock appearance on night one of WrestleMania as he appeared dressed as a bottle of the colourful energy drink in an attempt to aid Paul is his efforts against Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins. The Londoner would end up being on the receiving end of a frog splash through the announce table for his troubles, but in an interview afterward with WWE’s Cathy Kelley, he named Bobby Lashley as his dream WrestleMania opponent:

“You never know, you never know. If I was so to choose an opponent, I don’t even know who I’d want to… Bobby Lashley. Bobby Lashley, put me in with the beast. Why not? He’s literally triple me. I’m up for the challenge. YOLO.”

Lashley wasted little time in answering the challenge on his Twitter account, suggesting that it was not the match he was after but he would consider it if nothing else came up:

“Not really what I had in mind for #WrestleMania but if no one else wants to step up…”

It is yet to be seen if Lashley will be in competition on Night 2 at the SoFi Stadium. Some rumours suggest Wyatt will return to face ‘The All-Mighty’, whilst other reports point to an improptu bout with LA Knight.
