WWE United States Champion, Bobby Lashley, has responded to Riddle’s request for a championship match in the not too distant future.

On the January 8 Raw Legends Night, the former NXT Tag Team Champion defeated Lashley in controversial manner after tapping to The Hurt Lock. Unfortunately for the champion, the official was distracted and Riddle managed to escape the hold and roll-up his rival for the victory much to the chagrin of The Hurt Business.

Now, with a victory over the reigning champion, Riddle has begun to campaign for a match with the gold on the line. Taking to Twitter, ‘The Original Bro’ tweeted a short video of himself celebrating his victory over the powerhouse of MVP’s faction with the message:

“Still celebrating my big victory over @fightbobby by getting some sweet air and I’m really hoping he does the bro thing and gives me a title shot #wweraw #ustitle #brottocross #stallion #RoyalRumble #freshpark.”

The message caught the eye of Lashley who responded in his own unique manner:

“Enough of this BS. @The305MVP I wanna whoop his ass in some way. He hasn’t earned a title shot, but I want to dish out some HURT #WWERaw @WWE.”

While Bobby Lashley protests that his rival hasn’t earned a WWE United States Championship Match, rumours still persist that the pair will clash at the Royal Rumble on January 31 despite the former ECW Champion having already declared for the 30-Man Royal Rumble Match.

However, with the second biggest pay-per-view of the year still on the distant horizon, the pair are likely to collide again with the prize on the line before we reach January 31.
