Bobby Lashley To Defend United States Championship On Raw Season Premiere

Bobby Lashley celebrates as WWE United States Champion at WWE Money in the Bank 2022

Bobby Lashley will once again defend the WWE United States Championship against this Raw Superstar on next week’s season premiere of the red brand.

Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins is next in line to challenge for Bobby Lashley’s United States Championship.

This was confirmed by WWE during the latest Monday Night Raw. A Rollins assault on Lashley came following ‘The All Mighty’ champion forcing Mustafa Ali to pass out via Hurt Lock, with two Rollins-executed Curb Stomps following. One of those saw Bobby dropped face-first onto the United States Championship belt.

As it stands, the match is slated for the 10 October Monday Night Raw, the season premiere, from the Barclays Center.

Lashley vs. Rollins is one of several segments advertised for the night. Joining it for WWE’s first showcase post-Extreme Rules are Johnny Gargano vs. Austin Theory, an appearance from The Bloodline, and the 25-year anniversary celebration of D-Generation X.

Seth Rollins had previously challenged Bobby Lashley for the United States Championship on the 19 September Raw, ultimately coming up short in a 20-minute affair. It marked his first jaunt at the title since unsuccessfully challenging Rey Mysterio in December 2019.

Bobby Lashley, in his third run as WWE United States Champion, has endured challenges from all-comers since dethroning Austin Theory at Money in the Bank. The Miz, AJ Styles, and Tommaso Ciampa have all tried and failed to knock Lashley down a step during what has been a resurgence period for the secondary championship.
