WWE United States Champion Bobby Lashley defeated Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn at Survivor Series.
Zayn would spend much of the match attempting to steal a win via disqualification, cunningly trying to get Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander to strike him in clean sight of the referee, however The Hurt Business weren’t having it. We also had a throwback to the infamous ‘Lashley’s sisters’ storyline, with Sami Zayn suggesting he had “vertigo” after Lashley hit him with a stalling suplex.
Sami Zayn would also seemingly deliberately catch his foot on MVP and trip over, calling for Lashley to be disqualified, but would end up back in the ring and falling victim to the relentless Hurt Lock, as Lashley picked up the win.

Sami Zayn complained after the match, protesting to the referee that he should have won via disqualification, asking for Corey Graves to back him up. Fortunately for Lashley, VAR isn’t a thing in professional wrestling, so the victory stands.
Both Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin had competed on the Kickoff in a Dual-Brand Battle Royal, which was won by Mr Money In The Bank – The Miz.
