After Losing The WWE Title To Bobby Lashley, Brock Lesnar Wins Men’s Royal Rumble

Bobby Lashley applies the Hurt Lock to Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar won the men’s Royal Rumble making a comeback after losing his WWE Title to Bobby Lashley. The win now sets him up for a WrestleMania match against Roman Reigns. He made a surprise last-minute entrance into the Men’s Royal Rumble match to win the entire thing.

The Beast, who had lost his WWE championship earlier that night, was not announced for the Rumble. However, he got the magic number 30 slot and claimed his second ever Rumble victory. The man who knows how to win the Royal Rumble is Hacksaw Jim Duggan. In his interview with Betway Insider on how to win the Royal Rumble, Duggan revealed that winning the Royal Rumble is not a walk in the park; you need a proper strategy. Jim Duggan won the first-ever Royal Rumble while Lesnar’s first Rumble triumph came 19 years ago.

A Memorable Match!

The men’s Royal Rumble match was in itself memorable before Lesnar claimed the victory. Even though fans have expressed their displeasure with the match on online platforms, it was entertaining. AJ Styles entered the match as number one and was quickly joined by Shinsuke Nakamura, his former Wrestle Kingdom 10 and WrestleMania 44 opponent.

Additionally, Austin Theory and Montez Ford were early entrants. Fans expected that they would have prolonged runs in the match as their stars rise on Monday Night Raw. However, only Theory did.

Johnny Knoxville joined in at number nine and enjoyed an exciting run. He even managed to land a stuff shot on AJ Styles. Regrettably, between AJ Styles, Montez Ford, and Sami Zayn, the Jackass star did not last for long.

In the beginning, the men’s Rumble did not have surprises. However, that changed in the latter stages of the match. Drew McIntyre made a shock return from injury at 21. After that, he was followed by big names such as Big E, Kevin Owens, and Rey Mysterio, who were all genuine contenders.

Kofi Kingston was supposed to have an unforgettable moment. However, the former WWE titleholder messed up his spot for the first time as his feet hit the floor, eliminating him from the match.

Bad Bunny made his entrance to the fray at 27, and as usual, the rapper was outstanding inside the ropes. He was able to eliminate Sheamus before taking a smash from Kevin Owens.

Shane McMahon made his comeback at number 28 and lashed out at Owens immediately. The tussle renewed their old rivalry that saw McMahon taken off WWE TV. Eventually, McMahon got rid of Owens.

After that, Brock Lesner entered the match at number 30. The Beast Incarnate had lost the WWE title earlier that night and sought redemption on the Royal Rumble battlefield.

He came up against hometown hero Randy Orton, Riddle, Bad Bunny, McMahon, and Drew McIntyre before he could point at the WrestleMania sign.

After the win, Lesner is likely to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 38 as Lesnar will probably go for The Tribal Chief as the man he wants to meet.

Roman Reigns retained the WWE Universal championship after getting himself disqualified in the fight against Seth Rollins. At the end of the match, Reigns beat Rollins with a chair continually until he could not move.

Bobby Lashley Is the New WWE Champion

Bob Lashley became the new WWE Champion after Roman Reigns, and Paul Heyman screwed Brock Lesnar. The Beast Incarnate was set to secure his championship before the arrival of The Tribal Chief cost him big time. His win sets him up for a potential bumper WrestleMania main event.

The two powerhouses got straight into the action with a test of strength, with none of them moving an inch. However, Lesner got the upper hand with a German Suplex even though his challenger quickly got back to his feet before performing one of his own.

The suplexes continued with the champ seemingly in charge. But, a slugfest broke out soon before the challenger stroke two spears after fleeing an F5. Lesner went outside to catch his breath. He also managed to escape in time to avoid another spear as Lashley went crashing through the barricade.

However, the Almighty got back to his feet swiftly and sent the Beast Incarnate into the ring post before the action went back to the ring. Lesnar recovered and started dispensing his signature suplexes before going for another F5. But, Lashley caught him and locked him in the Hurt Lock as the former UFC heavyweight champion began to fade away.

Lesner reversed Lashley into the corner, but they crushed the referee. The match official was also caught in the crossfire when the champ finally dispensed an F5. Without the official to make the count, Reigns raced into the ring and speared Lesnar.

After that, Paul Heyman handed the Universal Champion Lesnar’s WWE Title, and he struck the Beast Incarnate straight in the face with the belt. That strike allowed Lashley to climb on top of Lesnar and get the pin. However, the Beast Incarnate had the last laugh as he went on to win the Royal Rumble to earn a shot at the WrestleMania title.
