Undisputed Era member Bobby Fish is not suffering from a case of COVID-19 as was rumoured when he missed this past week’s NXT tapings. The former NXT Tag Team Champion is actually nursing a minor knee injury, as reported by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Fish suffered the grievance while kickboxing and participating in Brazilian-jiu-jitsu training. Although there is no official word on a potential return date, it is said that Fish will only miss the September 30th NXT TakeOver go-home show, which has already been pre-taped.
The tag team specialist raised eyebrows this past week when he was absent from The Undisputed Era’s appearance on NXT, but will team with Undisputed Era partner Roderick Strong to battle Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan for the right to challenge Breezango for the NXT Tag Team Championships down the line.
The number one contender’s match was determined this past week when Strong and Burch defeated Raul Mendoza and Imperium’s, Fabian Aichner.
Bobby Fish, whose last television appearance came on the September 16th NXT when he and Roderick Strong fell to Drake Maverick and Killian Dain via disqualification, has had a long history with injuries throughout his career which include a torn ACL and MCL in his left knee which he sustained during an NXT live event on March 4th, 2019.
Everyone here at ITRWrestling.com wishes him a speedy recovery.
