Following reports that Bobby Fish could be on his way out of AEW it has now been reported that he has officially left the company.
On August 31st it was reported that Bobby Fish could be leaving AEW as he was not expected to sign a new contract.
While there was no word on when Fish’s contract expired, it was expected to be around October 6th as that is when he made his debut with the company. However, it appears that Fish may already be done with the company.
Speaking on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that the Undisputed Elite star was “done.”
Bryan Alvarez set the ball rolling by commenting on Fish’s status, and that his contract had expired. Meltzer quickly responded that Fish is not “probably” done, it has been confirmed.
“That sounds early, cause he started in October but I know you’re right, it’s not probably, he’s done. It’s confirmed, he’s done.
Whatever the deal was, either he was not offered a renewal or he chose to not to be renewed. He had said things. He had complained on his podcast about not getting enough matches…”
Bobby Fish hasn’t appeared on AEW television since the August 3rd edition of Dynamite when he joined with Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly to turn on the Young Bucks.
Since joining AEW briefly performed as a singles wrestler before he joining forces with his fellow former Undisputed Era members Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly and largely competed in a tag team alongside O’Reilly. He last competed on AEW television on July 18th when he defeated Blake Li on Dark Elevation.
