Last month, after weeks of waiting, former AEW Women’s Champion Blake Monroe made her NXT debut and got involved in a segment against Jacy Jayne. Later, during her official contract signing, fans witnessed Jayne crash the segment and put Monroe through the table.
Now, a few weeks later, tonight during the main-event segment of the June 1st taped episode of NXT, Jordynne Grace addressed her upcoming title match against Jacy Jayne on 13th July at Evolution 2, before being ambushed by the Fatal Influence.
However, surprising everyone in the arena, Mariah May, now known as Blake Monroe, interfered and took out Fatal Influence. However, in the final few minutes of the episode, fans saw NXT general manager Ava Raine come out and announce a huge match for the July 12th weekend.
At the upcoming Great American Bash NXT PLE, Jordynne Grace and Monroe will team up to face the duo of Fallon Henley and Jacy Jayne. The upcoming bout will also mark Monroe’s first WWE PLE match. She is also yet to have her first televised NXT match.
