Blake Monroe Wants A Member Of The Management To Be Fired

Blake Monroe Mariah May WWE NXT Jordynne Grace NXT Heatwave Ava

Blake Monroe wants WWE to fire a member of the management after she booked her to go face-to-face against her bitter rival ahead of their grudge match scheduled for August 24.

The Glamour turned on Jordynne Grace at WWE Evolution 2, one night after the two had joined forces at The Great American Bash to defeat NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley. Blake Monroe turned on Grace to cost her the title match against Jayne.

Jordynne Grace and Blake Monroe come from different backgrounds, with Grace being a former 3-time TNA Knockouts World Champion and the latter a former AEW Women’s World Champion. Both women have an established fan following, and they are already making an impact in NXT. A grudge match is booked for Heatwave on August 24, 2025.

Blake Monroe Wants WWE To Fire Ava After Their Backstage Interaction In NXT

After Blake Monroe embarrassed Jordynne Grace, the latter claimed that Monroe was insecure. The former AEW star had only just moved to WWE in June, and this is her first major program. During a backstage moment with NXT’s General Manager, Ava, this week, Monroe brought up Grace’s comment about her being insecure and laughed it off.

However, Ava was having none of it. She called out Monroe for what the latter did to Grace, and announced a face-to-face segment for next week’s episode. Monroe accused Ava of being biased. Later on X/Twitter, she highlighted their interaction, wondering why WWE had not fired Ava yet.

Monroe is only the latest among many AEW stars who jumped ship to the sports entertainment capital. Some of them are still signed to NXT, like Ricky Starks and Ethan Page, to name a few. Meanwhile, NXT’s Trick Williams and Jacy Jayne are currently in possession of the TNA World Championship and the TNA Knockouts World Championship, respectively.

WWE has a partnership with TNA, but it is clearly in competition with AEW. A new report stated that the company was looking to go head-to-head with All Elite Wrestling when Tony Khan produces one of its “Big Five” pay-per-views in September, All Out, by booking a blockbuster match at a yet-to-be-announced PLE, likely to emanate from Indianapolis, Indiana, on September 20.
