Big Update On Jamie Hayter, Thunder Rosa & The State Of The AEW Women’s Division

Thunder Rosa Double or Nothing entrance

There’s some bittersweet news when it comes to several stars in the AEW women’s division and that includes major names like Jamie Hayter and Thunder Rosa.

Wrestling Observer reported today that Jamie Hayter is far away from returning from her injury and that she’d be unable to make it in time to wrestle in front of her home country at All In in London. Fightful Select later confirmed those reports of Hayter’s status. It was hoped that the former AEW Women’s World Champion could be in a featured role on the show, but her injury is much worse than anticipated. Even worse, she’s “unexpected” to return in 2023 with no timeframe for a return.

We at Inside The Ropes would like to wish Jamie Hayter a speedy and healthy recovery.

Hopeful News For Thunder Rosa And Other Female Stars In AEW

While disappointment will stem from the Jamie Hayter news, there appears to be positive information regarding the status of Thunder Rosa and other women in AEW. Fightful reports that “positive motion” is going down for Rosa, Madison Rayne and The Bunny when it comes to a potential return. However, there is no concrete timetable for if or when those returns may happen.

Rosa recently spoke with Bleacher Report, sharing her optimism for a return to in-ring action after being out for nearly a year.

“I’m excited about the advancements that we have, and now I’m excited about the possibility of returning to the ring. Again, it’s just been giving me a perspective about the opportunity to wrestle, because it’s a privilege if I get to come back.”
