A new report has claimed that some other big names are set to miss out on appearing in the AEW Fight Forever video game alongside FTR.
Back on August 29th it was reported that FTR would not be featuring in the upcoming AEW video game Fight Forever. This was despite originally being planned for the game, and being one of the most high-profile tag teams in the world today. The pair currently hold the Ring of Honor, IWGP and AAA World Tag Team Titles.
However, it appears that the duo aren’t the only names set to miss out. A new report from Fightful Select has claimed that The Acclaimed, Santana, Ortiz and more will also be missing from the first release of the game.
The report states that alongside the names above, Jake Hager, Evil Uno and Private Party will be missing. Although the working plan is now for FTR to be included as DLC.
The same report also offered some other updates on the game, noting that “heavy resources” have been dedicated to the story mode. Numerous talents including John Silver, Orange Cassidy and MJF all did promo work for it, with MJF writing a promo for the game.
There were also “story materials” for The Bunny, Ricky Starks and Keith Lee, but there has since been some backtracking on this. It was also reported that AEW insisted on mini-games being involved in the game. Although, originally they weren’t interested in having community creations in the game. By the time that AEW had a change of heart on the issue, developers Yuke’s felt other features would need to be removed to make it possible.
It is unclear where things currently stand.
