On night one of WWE WrestleMania 39, Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley put on what has been called the best women’s WrestleMania match ever.

The two women went to war over the SmackDown Women’s Title with neither holding anything back. The pair battled for 23 stunningly hard-hitting minutes before the Australian star finally claimed victory to the delight of the 80,000-strong crowd.

While Rhea Ripley headed to Raw with her newly-won title, a new report has claimed that fans shouldn’t bank on seeing Charlotte Flair anytime soon.

It has been reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider via PWInsider Elite that The Queen will be going on a hiatus. Johnson notes that while plans for Ripley to win have been in place for a long time, Flair told the company over WrestleMania weekend that she would be taking a break. Flair is not expected to be at the April 7th episode of SmackDown and told those backstage that she and husband Andrade El Idolo were going traveling.

There is no word on how long the hiatus will be, but Flair decided to step away.
