Big-Name AEW Stars To Be Out For “A Few Months?”

The Elite The Young Bucks Kenny Omega Matt Jackson Nick Jackson AEW Dynamite

The March 22nd episode of AEW Dynamite opened with a bang and ended with Kenny Omega overcoming El Hijo Del Vikingo in a spell-binding main event.

In the opening segment, the Young Bucks were taken away in an ambulance after being attacked in the parking lot. Omega and Hangman Adam Page were also involved as they tried to come to the aid of their fallen friends.

While the identity of the attackers was initially a mystery, Excalibur later revealed on commentary he had been told by Brandon Cutler that it was carried out by the Blackpool Combat Club.

In the aftermath of the incident, Omega struggled to regain focus ahead of his “dream match” with Vikingo in the main event. This led to a heated exchange between Omega and Don Callis backstage, where the Invisible Hand was trying to get his charge’s head in the game. In an attempt to reassure the frantic Omega who was worried about his best friends Callis suggested that the Bucks being absent could work in their favour.

Interestingly, he added that “those kids will be fine in a few months.” This could have just been a throwaway line, or a hint the Young Bucks might be taking a break.

“Look, catastrophic injuries happen. All I’m saying is just hear me. Those two kids going to the hospital in an ambulance might be the best thing to happen to us…

You’re back, the God of Pro Wrestling is back. Those kids will be fine in a few months.”

CM Punk Working On AEW Return?

Despite this, it has been reported that CM Punk is “looking to get back” into AEW. The report from Dave Meltzer stated that Punk “wants back in” reiterating that he will soon be recovered from his triceps injury and fit to wrestle again should AEW decide to use him.
