Monday Night Raw appears to have lost former WWE Champion Big E as he is back on the blue brand, with WWE confirming his return to SmackDown.
Big E appeared on SmackDown by the side of his New Day partner Kofi Kingston as the duo took on Madcap Moss and Happy Corbin. In the battle of four stars that will compete in the men’s Royal Rumble, it was The New Day who came out on top.
In a backstage interview, it was Kayla Braxton who seemed to indicate Big E was set to be a regular fixture on SmackDown once again as she commented that he was “officially” back on the blue brand. WWE confirmed the move after the show on social media.
Big E had been part of the SmackDown roster until September 2021 when he chose to cash in his Money In The Bank briefcase on Raw’s WWE Champion Bobby Lashley. The powerhouse held that title until WWE Day 1 on New Year’s Day 2022 where he was pinned by current champion, Brock Lesnar.
His return to SmackDown once again puts Big E on the same brand as Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, meaning The New Day is once again complete. Woods is currently out of action after suffering a plantaris injury in a Street Fight with The Usos.
Big E is one of the favourites to win the men’s Royal Rumble match as he looks to use the power of positivity to forge his own Road To WrestleMania 38.
