Big E has backed Carmelo Hayes to rise to the top of WWE.
Although he’s currently out injured, Big E is still keeping a close eye on all things WWE. The former World Champion was recently backstage for NXT Heatwave which was headlined by the clash between NXT Campion Carmelo Hayes and Wes Lee.
Hayes in particular has earned plaudits for his performances in recent months after winning the NXT Title in April.
As well as fans and critics, those performances have also impressed Big E. Following Heatwave the star wrote on social media that Hayes is on track to become World Champion.

Will Big E Wrestle Again?
Big E has been out of action since suffering a broken neck in a match on SmackDown back in March 2022. The star was teaming with Kofi Kingston against the Brawling Brutes and took a Belly-to-Belly Overhead-suplex from Ridge Holland outside the ring. However, instead of landing flat on his back, Big E ended up hitting the ground high up on his head and neck.
The star hasn’t wrestled since and recently revealed doctors have told him not to get back in the ring.
