Big E Opens Up On Struggles With Depression & Contemplating Suicide

Big E Serious

Former WWE Champion Big E has courageously opened up about his struggles with depression in the past and says he considered suicide.

Big E spoke out on social media regarding his own struggles with his mental health in response to Ohio State University football star Harry Miller discussing walking away from the sport due to his own mental health issues.

The New Day star referenced his own issues as he sent a message of support to Miller:

“In my early 20s, I wanted to be famous so that when I committed suicide, someone would care. I never thought I could be free of the shear weight of my depression but here I am—alive and truly happy. Proud of you, @h_miller76.

Big E recently made headlines after he took a nasty bump on the outside of the ring on SmackDown in a match with Ridge Holland and Sheamus. Holland attempted an overhead belly-to-belly suplex on Big E which resulted in him landing directly on his head and breaking his neck.

The former Mr. Money In The Bank has since revealed that his injury thankfully won’t require surgery and it is unknown how much time he will have to miss in the ring. A recent report suggested Big E was factored into WrestleMania 38 plans but these will obviously have to be changed.
