Big E Opens Up About New WWE Role

Big E has spoken about his new role in the company as his in-ring future remains uncertain.

Closing in on 3 years since suffering a broken neck during a match on SmackDown, the former World Champion has shown no indication that he will be getting back in the ring anytime soon. While Big E thankfully has a high quality of life following the accident, he is still not medically cleared for physicality.

However, despite the fact that the former World Champion is not competing, he is still heavily involved in the company as a pre and post-show panellist along with being a part of recruiting potential future stars as part of the NIL program.

Speaking with Kevin Iole, Big E spoke about his enjoyment in the new role, noting that he gets to be a fan again:

“WWE has been incredibly hot for the past couple of years, so yeah, it’s going to be a great card. Lots of big names for sure. The Rock was heavily involved at WrestleMania last year; we’ll see if he’s involved at all this year. But we’re excited. The cool thing for me in this role now is that I do the pre-shows and post-shows for all the PLEs (Premium Live Events, formerly pay-per-views). So, you know, I get to be a fan again. I get to cover the card, and I have a lot of fun with that. I really enjoy it.”

If he had been able to continue his in-ring career. Big E has named a WWE legend he would love to have faced.

Big E Talks Possible Alternative Career Path

Prior to the start of his WWE career, the former World Champion found success in football and powerlifting before ultimately settling on pro wrestling. When discussing his journey in the same interview, Big E explained why an MMA career was not going to happen.
