Big E gave details on rehab and WWE support following his neck injury.
On the March 11th edition of SmackDown, Big E suffered an unfortunate injury during a tag team match against Sheamus & Ridge Holland. Shortly after, Big E would confirm through social media that he had suffered a broken neck, but wouldn’t require surgery.
Speaking with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, Big E would give an update on the support he’s being taken care of by WWE while in rehab.
Yeah, I’m still getting paid, I have no complaints with the way they have taken care of me. I’ve been paid very regularly. My money hasn’t gone down at all. They’ve also helped me, they sent me like a bone stimulator as well to help accelerate the growth of the bone. Medical has been there, they’ve done a great job. There’s been no expense either with my medical stuff. So yes, I’ve been taken care of for sure.” (h/t Fightful)
Earlier this month, Big E confirmed he would assist with the latest round of WWE tryouts alongside Paul Heyman and recently appointed EVP of Talent Relations and Head of Creative Triple H.
Big E is a former Intercontinental, Tag Team, NXT and most recently WWE Champion, winning the latter on September 13th after cashing in his Money in the Bank contract and losing the title to Brock Lesnar at Day 1 on January 1st in a Fatal 5-Way match that also featured Bobby Lashley, Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins.
