Bianca Belair vs Bayley I Quit Match Announced For Money In The Bank

Bianca Belair Bayley

Bianca Belair has upped the stakes for her impending WWE SmackDown Women’s Title defence against Bayley at Money In The Bank as she challenged the Role Model to an I Quit match on SmackDown.

Belair has been in Bayley’s sights ever since The EST of WWE captured the SmackDown Women’s Championship from Sasha Banks in the main event of WrestleMania 37. Since then Bayley and Belair have shared the ring five times in a variety of singles and tag team matches.

Bayley was Bianca Belair’s challenger for the title at WrestleMania Backlash in May and the two women met inside Hell In A Cell at the eponymous pay-per-view in June. Most recently Bayley got the better of Belair in a mixed tag team match on SmackDown when Bayley and Seth Rollins defeated Belair and Cesaro.

On SmackDown on Friday night, the two women came face to face once more with Bianca Belair making the challenge for the I Quit match in an effort to embarrass and finally silence Bayley. Belair laughed as she told the longest-reigning SmackDown Women’s Champion in history that for so long she wanted Bayley to stop running her mouth but now she can’t wait to hear Bayley utter the two words that will matter most, I quit.

This match will mark the first I Quit match in either competitor’s WWE career. The last I Quit match in the company came in October 2020 when Roman Reigns defeated Jey Uso in the first-ever Hell In A Cell I Quit match. Uso quit when Reigns began choking out his twin brother Jimmy. That event also saw the end of Bayley’s record-setting reign as SmackDown Women’s Champion as she lost the title inside the Cell to Sasha Banks.

The card for Money In The Bank is taking shape as Roman Reigns will defend the WWE Universal Title against Edge while WWE Champion Bobby Lashley puts his title on the line against Kofi Kingston. Rhea Ripley defends her Raw Women’s Title once more against Charlotte Flair while the line-ups for both Money In The Bank matches are almost complete. Asuka, Naomi, Alexa Bliss, Nikki ASH, Carmella, and the returning Zelina Vega will be joined by two more competitors still to be determined. In the men’s match Ricochet, John Morrison, Riddle, Drew McIntyre, Big E, and Kevin Owens will be joined by either Seth Rollins or Cesaro and King Nakamura or Baron Corbin.
