Bianca Belair discussed her reaction to Triple H being named the head of WWE creative after Vince McMahon’s retirement.
On July 22nd, Vince McMahon shocked the wrestling world by announcing his retirement amidst an investigation into alleged sexual misconduct and hush money payments. In the wake of his retirement, Triple H was named both Executive Vice President of Talent Relations as well as head of WWE creative.
Speaking to Inside the Ropes’ own Kenny McIntosh during SummerSlam weekend, Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair spoke about her reaction to the news that the real life Paul Levesque would be taking over creative duties within the company, saying that she’s excited for the change based on her time working with The Game in NXT.
“I’m very excited for Triple H being in control creatively. I was working with him in NXT, that’s my home, he was the very first person that gave me confirmation that I was born to do this, and he was the very first person that had faith in me and put me on the big stage, starting with the Mae Young Classic.
“He’s been there since the very beginning, he was there when I won the Royal Rumble, when I main evented WrestleMania, so it’s exciting to see him here, and know that he’s going to be here for the future. I’m just excited for it.”
At SummerSlam, Belair was able to retain her Raw Women’s Championship in a widely praised bout with Becky Lynch that saw Lynch suffer a separated shoulder.
On Monday Night Raw, it was announced that Triple H will be a guest on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast on August 2nd.
