‘The EST’ of WWE, Bianca Belair, has spoken about her belief that she will be booked in a Hair vs. Hair Match at some point during her WWE career.
From Kurt Angle, to Vince McMahon and even Molly Holly who lost her mane in a Hair vs. Title Match against Victoria at WrestleMania XX, the stipulation in question has been rife across the industry in various promotion for decades with the loser gaining a sizable payday for their sacrifice and a comedy angle when it comes to hiding their shiny dome.
However, with her long braid which she once used to regularly win matches and whip opponents the standout feature of Bianca Belair, it would stand to reason that at some point during the many years she has left between the ropes that someone will take aim at her luscious locks.
Sitting down with ESPN’s Cheap Heat, the 2021 Royal Rumble winner talked about the inevitability of such an affray occurring before she decided to hanging up her boots:
“People bring it up all the time and they ask do I ever think I’ll ever be a part of that. I think it’s pretty much inevitable because I mean, so much of who I am is my braid. I mean, she even has a name.”
According to Bianca, her famous braid has been adorned with the moniker, ‘Destiny’, which she revealed when talking about why the match stipulation would get people talking:
“Her name is Destiny, and it makes sense, right? So, and I think that it’s really fun to have feuds sometimes that aren’t always a part of the title picture and if I have a hair versus hair match… I ain’t gonna say it’s bigger than a title. A title is pretty big, you know? But, there will be a lot at stake and I think a lot of people could get very invested in it. I don’t wanna lose my braid, I don’t want to lose my hair. I think it would be great. I’d be down for it.”
As the winner of the 2021 Royal Rumble Match, Bianca Belair now has the right to choose any female champion in WWE for a championship match at WrestleMania 37. At time of writing, the star is yet to choose her foe with Asuka, Sasha Banks and Io Shirai all a possibility for April 10 and April 11.
