Bianca Belair Says She’s Still “Very Hurt” By Her Shock SummerSlam Loss

Bianca Belair & Becky Lynch

Former SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair has said that she is still “very hurt” by her defeat at SummerSlam.

At the event when Becky Lynch’s music hit fans were surprised and excitement to have The Man back. When Lynch pinned Belair to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship just moments later, that excitement turned to pure shock.

Within 26-seconds, and one proper wrestling move, Belair had lost the championship she had held since WrestleMania 37.

Appearing on WMNL, seemingly in character, Belair reflected on her defeat. The EST of WWE said that while she was hurt by the loss, she’s doing everything she can to win the title back.

“I’m still very hurt by how I did lose the title at SummerSlam,”

“I was excited to get in there with Becky. I wasn’t expecting the title match to happen so quickly. Right now, I’m just trying to regain what I lost as quickly as possible. Just as quickly as I lost, I’m trying to gain it back. Becky has been ducking and dodging me, I finally got her to sign the contract for my rematch. I know that if we really go toe-to-toe in a long match, the outcome is going to be different. I’m excited for that.”

Ever since losing her prized championship, Bianca Belair has been a woman on a mission trying to win it back. After confronting Lynch on multiple occasions to no avail, Belair eventually won her way back into contention with victory in a Fatal-4-Way Match. That win cemented Belair at the front of the queue for a title match with Lynch.

With the Irishwoman seemingly doing everything she can to avoid a clash, it was announced that the two would meet at Extreme Rules.

After a tense contract signing at Madison Square Garden, the match is now a done deal.
