Bianca Belair has opened up on her WWE journey.
Almost a decade ago, in 2016, Bianca Belair began her journey with WWE. With Mark Henry guiding her, Belair ended up in NXT and stayed there till 2020. Soon after she transitioned to the main roster, Belair jumped to massive popularity and became one of the top names in the company.
Despite losing to Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley recently at WrestleMania 41, The EST decided to reflect on her career and reveal her first try-out footage for the company. She uploaded the video and added a heartfelt note.
“From then to now…. My 1st tryout…I had no idea how to take a bump, I didn’t even know what a “bump” was let alone what a “promo” was… I was so nervous you can hear the quiver in my voice. I had no idea what I was doing. The only thing I knew how to do was be me, because there is only ONE ME and that was my way to stand out. Shoutout to Mark Henry.
So I wore my favorite rose outfit I made for a crossfit competition and showed that I may not come from this business, I may not know much but I will work my ass off and I will love and respect this business if I was given a chance. At 1st I always felt like I was stealing someone else’s dream so I threw myself whole heartedly into this.”
Belair further claimed that she dealt with impostor syndrome during her wrestling tryouts:
“I dealt with imposter syndrome for A LONG time. I always felt like I had something to prove. Now… I know exactly who I am. I know how much hardwork I put in, I know my worth NO MATTER WHAT, and I know everything I’ve gotten and haven’t gotten yet IS MINE. Dream big. Do things you didn’t even think were meant for you. You never know. It might change your life and others along the way.”
With a history in the track & field, Belair has won multiple championships in the company as well as main-evented one WrestleMania,
NXT Star Names Rhea Ripley And Bianca Belair As Her Dream Opponents
Speaking WWE Die Woche, Jordynne Grace named two of the promotion’s most popular wrestlers as her dream opponents. Naming former champions Ripley and Bianca Belair, she said:
“I feel like I have to say that (Rhea Ripley). Bianca(Belair) is a very, very close second, though. She’s so insanely athletic and I just picture myself catching her out of the air mid-flip and just slamming her. I feel like, I know, right? That’s something I could do. But NXT right now, my dream match is Stephanie(Vaquer) and Giulia.”
