Bianca Belair Opens Up About One Of The Lowest Points Of Her Career

Bianca Belair celebrates winning RAW Women's Title

Bianca Belair has opened up about the major loss she had last year at SummerSlam, against Becky Lynch.

At last year’s SummerSlam, the SmackDown Women’s Championship was scheduled to be decided in a blockbuster WrestleMania rematch with Bianca Belair taking on Sasha Banks.

Bianca Belair made her entrance and everyone expected Sasha Banks to make her way down to the ring. It was then announced that Sasha Banks was unable to compete and out came Carmella as her replacement. Before the bell could ring, Belair went on to tell Sasha Banks that one day, it would be them two competing in the ring.

Then all of a sudden, Becky Lynch’s music hit and out came The Man, making her return after being out for over a year. She took out Carmella and Allegiant Stadium thought they were about to witness a dream match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

The bell rang, and all it took was a Becky Lynch cheap shot, a Man Handle Slam and The Man was the new champion. The 26-second defeat leaving Belair and the crowd stunned.

In a recent interview with the New York Post, Belair stated that this was the lowest point of her career.

“I’m going to write the final chapter in my comeback story for SummerSlam. Losing my title to Becky in 26 seconds last year at SummerSlam was one of the lowest moments of my career and having to fight all the way to the top and take the title from her at WrestleMania 38.”

“To be able to go to SummerSlam this year, I feel like I can redeem my reputation and not have my memories from SummerSlam be one that’s a low memory but end on a high note. I just want to write that final chapter and end it as a fairy-tale in my story.”

Bianca Belair was able to get her redemption against Lynch at WrestleMania 38 by defeating her to become Raw Women’s Champion.

Belair has the chance on July 30th to make up for last year’s devastating SummerSlam loss when she takes on Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Championship in a highly anticipated rematch at the biggest party of the summer.
