Bianca Belair has weighed in on the vacant spot in the women’s Elimination Chamber and which returning star could be a surprise entrant in the match!
With less than a week to go till Elimination Chamber, one spot still remains in the women’s Elimination Chamber match and speculation has been rife about who will join Bianca Belair, Doudrop, Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan and Nikki A.S.H. in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch even gave her thoughts on the matter, taking to Twitter last week to tip NXT’s Wendy Choo for the spot!
“I want [Wendy Choo] to be the 6th person in the Eliminaton Chamber.”
Now, speaking to Inside The Ropes’ Innes McVey, Bianca Belair has revealed her belief that the final spot will be filled by a surprise entrant and could serve as the in-ring return of Bayley, Asuka or Alexa Bliss!
“That’s such a hard decision because our division is so jam-packed. I think it’s going to be a surprise entrant. Maybe Bayley is coming back, maybe Asuka, there’s been vignettes of Alexa Bliss, so one of those three women. But whoever it is, it’s going to really raise the stakes for Elimination Chamber.”
All three women have been out-of-action for several months: Bliss hasn’t competed since last September’s Extreme Rules, Asuka since Money In The Bank in July and Bayley since late June.
The EST of WWE also discussed her disappointment after failing to become the first-ever woman to win the Royal Rumble twice consecutively and how she’s using those feelings to fuel her motivation heading into Elimination Chamber:
“It was definitely a disappointment, coming off winning the Royal Rumble last year which was my ticket to go to WrestleMania. I main evented and came out the Smackdown Women’s Champion, so of course, I wanted to run it back-to-back this year for the Royal Rumble. But you win some, you lose some and then you don’t give up, you don’t let up. So I’m just going into Elimination Chamber with that fuel to come out on top of the Elimination Chamber.”
Belair also discussed the moment she realised she was born to wrestle and responded to a bizarre race challenge from The Miz!
