Bianca Belair has opened up about the importance of her ring gear not only to her on-screen presentation but future goals within WWE.
Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair has always stood out in the ring for her impressive athleticism and bond with the crowd, but she also makes sure to make her mark with her ring gear.
Not only is Belair proud of her eye-catching outfits, she proudly makes her gear herself, even for the biggest of occasions. The bigger the event, the more big and bold Belair’s gear becomes as she tries to present herself as the biggest star on the show.
Speaking in a new interview with Inside The Ropes’ very own Kenny McIntosh and Alex McCarthy, the star broke down why her ring holds such a special significance. Belair explained that it all began during her time attending CrossFit competitions, and extends into her long-term WWE goals.
“That’s everything for me. I make and sew my own gear, it’s a huge part of who I am. It’s a way of me like bringing my creativity using my talents. It’s really cool to be able like look at my action figures with video games and like that’s the gear I made but it’s a pageantry, right. It’s the showmanship, it’s a part of the show is a part of who you are.
So I love coming out there and for the crowd to be excited to see like what type of match we’re going to have, and if we’re going to show up and show out. But also be excited to see what Bianca Belair is going to be wearing. I want to mix in fashion with WWE, and has been a long term goal of mine and I want to continue to go with that, you know.
That’s been my thing since CrossFit, you know, that’s really what got me into WWE was I wearing these big elaborate outfits to go do CrossFit and it became a thing of what’s Bianca Belair going to wear to these CrossFit shows? I’ve created over into WWE and you know, I wanted to be a part of who I am, you know, just Bianca Belair having amazing gear, and I make it myself.”
Earlier in 2022 it was reported that Belair had taken inspiration from a fan’s design for her WrestleMania 38 gear. On the night the star defeated Becky Lynch to win the Raw Women’s Title.
Bianca Belair was most recently in action on the September 12th edition of Monday Night Raw where she defeated Sonya Deville.
