WWE Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair has revealed who hit her the hardest during a match, leaving her with a black eye.
Bianca Belair reached the top of WWE’s women’s division in 2021. After winning that year’s Women’s Royal Rumble match, the EST went on to defeat Sasha Banks at WrestleMania 37 to capture the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
During her reign, the star took on all-comers including Bayley and Carmella. However, she was dethroned at SummerSlam that August when Becky Lynch made her shock return to WWE after over a year away and defeated Belair for the title in under 30 seconds.
The pair met again at Extreme Rules the following month but that bout ended in a no-contest. Then, at Crown Jewel, Lynch defended the title in a Triple Threat match which also featured Belair and Sasha Banks with Big Time Becks once again coming out on top.
Bianca Belair finally got her hands on Lynch in a singles match again at WrestleMania 38. This time, the pair battled over the Raw Women’s Championship and Belair finally overcame her adversary and claimed the title in a match that has gone down as a classic.
Speaking to Inside The Ropes’ own Kenny McIntosh, Belair revealed that out of all her opponents and matches, it was during that WrestleMania match that she was hit the hardest in her career.
The shot came when Lynch kicked her in the eye, leaving the star with a black eye in the aftermath of the bout.
“Probably when Becky with the big boots hit me in the eye at WrestleMania. I still have a little bit of that black eye. It’s like still a thing, So probably WrestleMania, Becky Lynch.”
Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch reignited their rivalry at this year’s SummerSlam with Belair defeating The Man once again to retain her title. Following the match, Bayley made her return alongside Dakota Kai and IYO SKY and the trio confronted the two.
At Clash at the Castle, Bayley’s group, now known as Damage Control, defeated Belair, Asuka, and Alexa Bliss when Bayley pinned the champion, putting her in line for a future title shot.
