Bianca Belair has spoken out about her goal to be the stand-out star and winner of the 2021 Royal Rumble Match.
This year, the then NXT talent gave a Woman of the Match performance in the most exciting bout of the year leading many to voice their opinions that she should have won the match instead of eventual victor, Charlotte Flair.
Now, Belair has sat down with Sports Illustrated to discuss her goal for this year which would guarantee her a shot at the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship on ‘The Grandest Stage of Them All’:
“I’m preparing physically, I’m preparing mentally, and I am looking to go out and prove myself even more than I did last year. I am definitely excited about the Royal Rumble.”
The thirty woman, over the top rope war isn’t the only thing the talent has in her sights, with 2021 set to be the year she breaks out and becomes the star she’s so obviously destined for:
“I’m really excited for 2021, and I’m calling it right now—it’s going to be a special year for Bianca Belair to stand out and shine, starting with the Royal Rumble. I didn’t find out I was going to be part of it last year until the night before, and I was still able to go out there and last over 30 minutes. It will be even better this year. Every time I step in the ring, my goal is to show everyone who I am and what I do. I want to win the Royal Rumble and use that as my path straight into WrestleMania.”
Currently, Belair is involved in a rivalry with former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion, Bayley, on Friday nights. She has previously stated that she would love to face Sasha Banks at WrestleMania.
