The Man came back around on SmackDown, not that she was too enthusiastic about getting back in the ring with Bianca Belair.
Becky Lynch came out to open the show and address her SmackDown Women’s Title win at SummerSlam. The Irish Superstar said that she was going to be more dangerous than ever after working every day to get back following the birth of her daughter.
Lynch then moved onto the nature of her win against Belair, saying that she had nothing to apologise for. This brought out the former champion who laid down a challenge for Lynch on SmackDown. Before Lynch could respond the pair were interrupted by Zelina Vega, then Carmella and finally Liv Morgan.
Each woman laid their own claim to a shot at the title but Lynch remained unmoved. Belair challenged Lynch again but the champion simply said “no” and left the ring.
This set up a Fatal-4-Way match between the remaining women, with the winner earning a shot against Lynch.
Belair quickly eliminated Zelina Vega with the KOD, and Carmella followed shortly after with Liv Morgan doing the honours.
This left Belair and Morgan to fight for the right to face the champion. Despite a spirited effort from Morgan, Belair eventually triumphed with the KOD. The victory guarantees a match against Becky Lynch some time in the future.

Becky Lynch returned to the ring for the first time in 16 months at SummerSlam where she defeated Bianca Belair in under 30 seconds for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
In the wake of her return it was reported that Lynch would now be working as a heel. Something she requested after being inspired by Roman Reigns making a similar switch to the dark side at SummerSlam 2020.
