Smackdown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair has threatened to retire Sasha Banks at WWE Summerslam.
This heated line comes courtesy of an appearance on Talking Smack, where Belair revealed the full extent of her frustrations with ‘The Boss’:
You know what, it didn’t even have to be this way. Me and Sasha, we made history at WrestleMania. We’ve had all these amazing moments. We got an ESPY. I tried to give Sasha a chance. You know, I would have gladly given her a rematch but she had to do this, she had to come in and do this. You know what, all that is over and done with. I’m done playing these games with Sasha. I call myself the EST for a reason, so when I see her next week and at SummerSlam, oh it’s going to be on. Everyone wants to talk about how Sasha’s a legend in the making. Well, I might just retire her at SummerSlam and make her legend that night. I’m done with this. I’m done with Sasha.
Following a respectful conclusion to their historic contest at WrestleMania 37, the pair’s rivalry has been anything but since Banks’ return earlier in the year.
Seemingly out to unsettle the champion, Banks has been on the offensive both verbally and physically, with the situation escalating further on this past week’s edition of Smackdown, where both Zelina Vega and Carmella were enlisted to attack Belair on Banks’ behalf.
Banks punctuated the attach by locking Belair in her patented Banks Statement finisher, using Belair’s own braid for extra leverage and thus adding further insult to injury.
The rivals will look to settle the score at WWE’s Summerslam spectacular on Sunday, August 21st.
