At WWE Crown Jewel, Bianca Belair took on Bayley in a rematch for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship. The two fought previously in a ladder match at Extreme Rules, and just as before, Belair was victorious at Crown Jewel, retaining the title she won from Becky Lynch in April at WWE WrestleMania 38.
Speaking to Sam Roberts on Notsam Wrestling, Bianca Belair revealed that she broke down in tears following the WWE Crown Jewel bout as she became overwhelmed with the emotion of such a big moment.
“A lot of times, I feel like I’m on autopilot where I’m just pushing through and trying to get to what’s next and you really have to stop and reflect on what’s happening and how big moments are and that actually happened to me after the match in Saudi Arabia. I got backstage and just, I broke down and a lot of people were coming up to me like, ‘Oh my God, are you okay?’
“And I’m like, ‘No, they’re happy tears, it’s good tears’ because everything happens so fast and you really have to soak in the moments and realize how big the moments are. But then you get right back on the plane and you go to Raw and now, like you said, challenging people to WarGames and on to the next, the next big thing so, it’s always just pushing forward and moving through but trying to take the little moments and stop and reflect on how big the moments really are.” (h/t POST Wrestling)
Bianca Belair Will Compete Inside WarGames At WWE Survivor Series
Though her WWE Raw Women’s Championship won’t be on the line at WWE Survivor Series, Bianca Belair is set for another night of hard-hitting action when she competes inside WarGames alongside Asuka, Alexa Bliss, the newly-renamed Michin, and a mystery partner that is set to be revealed on SmackDown (though some spoiler-filled reports have already revealed the latest plans).
Bianca Belair’s team will face off against Bayley, Dakota Kai, IYO SKY, Nikki Cross, and Rhea Ripley, who joined Damage CTRL’s team last week after Michin announced she would be joining the babyfaces.
On the latest episode of WWE Raw, Rhea Ripley faced off against Asuka in the main event with a chance at the WarGames team advantage on the line. In the end, Ripley was victorious, ensuring that Damage CTRL’s team will have the advantage inside WarGames.
