Bianca Belair has spoken out on the return of her former tag team partner Jade Cargill and the events that transpired inside the Elimination Chamber.
Although Belair was victorious in the match and will go on to WrestleMania and challenge for the Women’s World Championship, what happened earlier in the night left The EST distraught.
Seconds after the bell rang, Jade Cargill’s music hit to signal the return of the former Women’s Tag Team Champion. With Liv Morgan and Naomi in the ring, commentary noted that Morgan was about to be attacked as it was believed that she was the attacker. However, Cargill instead attacked Naomi to the point that her former friend was no longer cleared to continue. Throughout the whole attack, Belair was locked in her pod and unable to break up the fight.
Speaking at the post-show press conference, Belair was asked about what took place inside the Chamber:
“I was so confused, honestly. I was very confused. I feel like I still need answers for that. I didn’t understand what was happening. Naomi and I, we were very sure that Liv did that. Naomi pushed to me that Liv and Raquel [attacked Jade]. When I got back from my match, Naomi wasn’t there because she was stretchered out and Jade wasn’t there. I feel like I need to talk to both to them before I jump to conclusions.
Right now, I’m not really understanding what’s happening. I don’t really believe Jade would watch me team with Naomi knowing that she did that. I truly don’t believe Naomi would do something like that. I’ve known her for a very long time. Tonight was very bittersweet.”
Who Will Bianca Belair Face At WrestleMania 41?
Although Belair is the new number one contender to the Women’s World Championship, it is not guaranteed that current champion Rhea Ripley will be the champion heading into the show. This is because Ripley will put the title on the line against Iyo Sky on the March 3rd episode of Raw.
