Unfortunate news surrounding the health of a Beyond Wrestling talent.

Beyond Wrestling is among the independent promotions that produce talents that would later see themselves in bigger stages, like AEW and WWE. Some of the bigger talents that later became well-known are Wheeler Yuta, Matt Riddle, Keith Lee, Orange Cassidy, and more.

Another notable talent that wrestles for the promotion is Jaka, whom fans may recognize for facing several well-known AEW and WWE stars. He shared the ring with the likes of Zack Sabre Jr., Wheeler Yuta, Tommaso Ciampa, Keith Lee, Matt Riddle, Sammy Guevara, Darby Allin, and more.

Still, Jaka also had some one-offs at some of the bigger wrestling stages outside of Beyond Wrestling. At the 2018 WWE WrestleMania Axxess, he and Chris Dickinson of Doom Patrol even defended the Evolve Tag Team Championships against The Street Profits, who later won the match. In 2021, at AEW Dark: Elevator, he and Sean Maluta of The Island Kings had a failed attempt at defeating The Inner Circle’s Ortiz and Santana.

Unfortunately, recent news regarding the Beyond Wrestling talent isn’t coming in a positive light.

Beyond Wrestling Announced Unfortunate News Regarding Jaka’s Health

In a recent post on X (Twitter), Beyond Wrestling shared the saddening news that Jaka is currently in the ICU battling for his life. The promotion then shared a GoFundMe page to help with the medical bills of the wrestler.

Sad news to report. Jaka (Jonathan) is fighting for his life right now in the ICU. His recovery will come with many challenges, including huge medical bills. Please consider donating to help ease this burden. Every bit helps. gofund.me/19474648″

The GoFundMe page was set up by Jaka’s sister, Annette Rivera. The description read that the wrestler remains in critical condition after suffering a heart attack. Rivera added that their family is holding tightly to faith and praying for complete recovery.

Annette added that while their family was focusing on the Beyond Wrestling talent wrestler’s recovery, they are also preparing for the financial challenges, hence the GoFundMe. In a classy act, the top donor is found to be AEW President Tony Khan with $5,000.

We at ITR Wrestling are hoping for a fast and full recovery of Jonathan “Jaka” Echevarria.
