WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix has announced a new music project alongside country artist Tim Prottey-Jones, with the pair sharing a preview of what’s to come in the form of a classic cover!
Performing as Beth “Phoenix” Copeland, the former WWE Women’s Champion performed Tonight You Belong To Me alongside Prottey-Jones, showing off a hidden talent none of us knew she had.
“The pandemic was full of challenges, but also brought some amazing friends and opportunities into my life. I’m excited to share that myself and the multitalented @TimProtteyJonesare working on an original project. Here’s us just having some fun.”
Prottey-Jones, a lifelong wrestling fan himself, added:
“I can’t believe I’m saying this, but this is @WWE Hall of Famer @TheBethPhoenix & I covering a classic song! We had so much fun putting this together & we felt that #WrestleManiaweekend was the perfect time to show you what we’ve been up to!”
Beth Phoenix was recently named the 11th greatest woman performer in WWE history and paid tribute to Chyna, who came in at fourth on the list. The Glamazon herself is a three-time Women’s Champion and former Divas Champion.
Meanwhile, for her new musical venture, Phoenix could hardly have picked a better partner. Tim Prottey-Jones is a veteran of the music industry, and has performed at such legendary venues as The Grand Ole Opry, The Ryman Auditorium, Bluebird Cafe, Graceland & Hyde Park. The UK-based musician founded ‘The Wandering Hearts’, and works as a writer and producer as well as performing his own music.
