Ben Stiller doesn’t have the “black lung” when it comes to expressing his enthusiam for Kris Statlander.
Statlander went all out in her attire for AEW All Out as the TBS Women’s Champion paid homage to the Stiller-starring comedy Zoolander. Statlander was sure to do her own version of Stiller’s “Blue Steel” pose as she stood mid-ring following her entrance. When she shared the image on X, she was certain to tag Stiller and sure enough, the actor caught wind.

Like Ben Stiller, Kris Statlander ‘Models’ Toughness In Her TBS Title Run
Statlander made her surprise return to AEW at Double Or Nothing back in May following her second ACL tear. The once self-proclaimed alien immediately re-established herself as a viable competitor in the Women’s division by handing Jade Cargill her first loss and in turn, becoming the second-ever TBS Champion. Statlander continued to stack up the successful title defenses at All Out when she finally defeated Ruby Soho in singles action.
During the post-AEW All Out media scrum, Statlander made clear that she wasn’t adjusting any of her style in the ring following her injuries and said she wouldn’t have came back if she wasn’t able to do what she was capable of doing previously.
Statlander stated that she wouldn’t be anywhere without the support of friends, particularly Orange Cassidy, who she was asked about during the scrum. Statlander said that Orange Cassidy has been invaluable to her career and she, along with Chuck Taylor and Trent Barretta all got emotional after his International Title loss to Jon Moxley in the main event.
