Becky Lynch has declared that she wants to face Doudrop at the Royal Rumble, despite her initial confusion as to how facing the former NXT UK star was even an option.
Since returning to WWE at SummerSlam, Becky Lynch has seen off all comers. On the very night that she returned she defeated Bianca Belair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship, before entering into a very high-profile, and very personal feud with Charlotte Flair.
After defeating Belair again, Lynch overcame Flair, most recently fending off the challenge of Liv Morgan at WWE Day 1.
On the January 3rd edition of Monday Night Raw it was announced that Liv Morgan, Bianca Belair and Doudrop will square off in a match to determine Lynch’s new number one contender. The winner of the Triple-Threat will meet Lynch at the Royal Rumble.
Speaking on Raw Talk, Lynch said that she was surprised that Doudrop was even in the match, before appearing to plan some kind of mutiny with the Scottish star.
“A triple threat? [Becky then inquires about who’s involved] Wait, Doudrop? When did Doudrop get in? Huh. Doudrop. A Fellow Celt. Maybe there’s something to that. A couple of Celts getting together, overthrow the Yanks. Doudrop. Huh. Doudrop,”
When pressed on who she would like to face at the Rumble, Lynch simply said: “Doudrop.”
After seeing off Liv Morgan at Day 1, Becky Lynch quickly threw out a challenge to a returning WWE Hall of Famer. On the same night as Lynch emerged victorious, Beth Phoenix returned to help her husband defeat The Miz.
However, things didn’t go quite to plan, as after Lynch had asked if Phoenix wanted to fight, the former Women’s Champion dismissed her comment saying she was busy.
