Becky Lynch Title Defence Confirmed For NXT No Mercy

Becky Lynch Title Defence Confirmed For NXT No Mercy

Becky Lynch is set to defend her newly won NXT Women’s Championship at NXT No Mercy.

Becky Lynch will be against Tiffany Stratton in an Extreme Rules match at NXT No Mercy on September 30th. Lynch made her return to NXT on September 12th and defeated Stratton, who was the reigning champion at the time, to capture the title for the first time in her career.

During the September 19th episode of NXT, Stratton challenged Lynch to a rematch which was accepted by the champion. Lynch also made it clear that she believed Stratton wasn’t hungry enough to win the title back.

Later in the same episode, Stratton and Kiana James were set to face Lynch in a handicap match, but Lyra Valkyria made a surprise appearance and teamed up with Lynch to defeat the duo. After the match, Stratton attacked Lynch with a chair, which only served to anger the champion. Lynch responded by announcing that the rematch at NXT No Mercy would be an Extreme Rules match.

Lynch has already successfully defended her title against Natalya on WWE Raw‘s September 18th episode and she has been on a roll ever since her return to NXT. Stratton, on the other hand, will be looking to regain her championship and prove Lynch wrong about her hunger for success.

Recently WWE confirmed that Tegan Nox is next in line for an NXT Women’s title shot.

Has Becky Lynch Been In An Extreme Rules Match Before?

Becky Lynch has competed in one Extreme Rules match in her career when she teamed with her husband Seth Rollins against Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans in an Extreme Rules Mixed Tag match. Lynch and Rollins won the match after Rollins delivered three stomps to Corbin to secure the pinfall.

In recent news, Becky Lynch is confirmed to be appearing on the September 26th episode of NXT.
